Pfizer Flirts with Returning Bextra to the Market
Pfizer's CEO, Hank McKinnell, stated recently that Bextra will likely return to pharmacy shelves. He failed to mention when this may occur, and in reality it is doubtful whether it happens at all. Drugs returning to the market after being withdrawn are stigmatized and never reach sales equal to those before the withdrawal.
And for good reason. The increased risk of heart attack, stroke, and the potentially deadly skin disorder Steven Johnson's syndrome, are well documented. Even the FDA determined that the serious risks associated with Bextra clearly outweigh the benefits of taking the drug.

Does anyone know where I can get Bextra? I have a prescription and my physician feels its right for me.
Currently, you will not be able to fill your prescription. Pfizer removed the drug from the market upon the FDA's instruction and it is illegal for any pharmacist to dispense it.
On a similar note, I would strongly suggest discussing another medication with your doctor. There are many pain relievers currently on the market that may offer you the same relief as Bextra, but without the high risk of a cardiovascular event or Stevens Johnson Syndrome.
You're doing a great work here. I enjoyed visiting here very much. Thanks!
